Visit Oakland Joins Bay Area Host Committee as Official Alliance Partner
Mountain View, CA (September 10, 2025) – The Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) today is welcoming Visit Oakland as its newest Alliance Partner, underscoring a shared commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for fans, visitors, and communities leading up to and during Super Bowl LX and the 2026 World Cup.
"We are thrilled to welcome Visit Oakland as an Alliance Partner," said Zaileen Janmohamed, President & CEO of the Bay Area Host Committee. "Oakland is an essential part of our region’s identity and energy. This partnership allows us to showcase Oakland’s unique fandom and diverse communities as we prepare to host two of the world’s biggest sporting events. Together, we look forward to creating memorable experiences and lasting impacts for residents and visitors alike."
As an Alliance Partner, Visit Oakland will work alongside BAHC and its network of stakeholders to showcase Oakland’s vibrancy, diversity, and hospitality on the world stage. The partnership includes exclusive rights, official designations, hospitality access, and collaborative marketing opportunities.
“Visit Oakland is honored to join the Bay Area Host Committee as an Alliance Partner,” stated Peter Gamez, President & CEO of Visit Oakland. “This collaboration is a tremendous opportunity to highlight all that Oakland has to offer and showcase our beautiful community on an international stage. We are excited to welcome fans from around the world and to work with BAHC to create events that celebrate our city’s culture, creativity, and genuine hospitality.”
A major focus area of the partnership is a commitment to the Oakland community, and Visit Oakland will join the BAHC Community and Fan Engagement Working Committee, strengthening the bridge between local communities and international fans.
This announcement follows a year of heightened sports and cultural activity in Oakland, including NBA All-Star events hosted in the city this past February, further cementing Oakland’s role as a hub for global sports and entertainment.
The news also builds on recent BAHC announcements from other regional destination marketing organizations, including SF Peninsula, Visit Napa Valley and Napa Valley Vintners, SF Travel, and Visit Santa Cruz County, showcasing the collective commitment of Bay Area destinations to deliver an exceptional experience when the world arrives for Super Bowl LX and the FIFA World Cup 26™.
