SPORTS FOR ALL

As part of our commitment to the region, the Bay Area Host Committee increases access to sports for youth of all backgrounds and abilities across the nine counties of the Bay Area and constantly innovates to bring sports to more communities. We are focused on providing transformative opportunities for youth, developing highly skilled sports leaders, and reimagining healthy, safe sports spaces.

SPORTS FOR ALL HUBS

Developing nine interconnected sports hubs across every county, transforming access, inclusion, and development in the Bay Area

Each Sports for All hub is carefully cultivated in partnership with community stakeholders to include:

  • Community-led and -owned sports spaces

  • Year-round programming from expert sport-for-development partners

  • Sports community leader upskilling trainings (coaches, referees, NGO leaders, teachers, etc.)

  • Participant capacity-building (financial literacy, health, transportation, etc.)

  • Interconnectivity to other Sport for All Hubs and activation and engagement opportunities around major sporting events coming to the Bay

Ribbon cutting for Sports for All hub at MLK Middle School in San Francisco

On May 8th, 2025, we proudly held a ribbon cutting event for our very first Sports For All Hub in Bayview, San Francisco at MLK Middle School. In partnership with America SCORES Bay Area and their “Field of Dreams” initiative, this marks the launch of the first of nine community sports hubs — one in each Bay Area county — as a part of BAHC’s Sports For All initiative, designed to provide free, safe, and accessible places to play for local youth.

On February 4th, 2026, we launched our second Sports for All hub at Los Robles-Ronald McNair Academy in East Palo Alto. In partnership with the City of East Palo Alto, BAHC Foundation donors, NFL Legacy Grant, Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, 49ers Foundation, and Ravenswood Education Foundation, the new sports hub will transform the only football-sized field available to the city’s 28,000 residents. The field borders three schools and the Boys & Girls Club, providing crucial access to year-round, youth-focused sports programming in partnership with the Ravenswood School District, Mastodons Youth Football, and other community organizations.
