Bay Area to Welcome U.S. Soccer for July 1 Round of 32 FIFA World Cup 26™ Matchup with Region-Wide Celebrations and Watch Parties
Mountain View, CA – June 26, 2026 – On July 1, the Bay Area will host the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) in their first FIFA World Cup knockout match on home soil since 1994 as they face off against Bosnia-Herzegovina. This will be an incredible moment for fans and residents across our region to celebrate this historic milestone. The Bay Area is ready – bringing communities together through official watch parties, pre-match celebrations, and dynamic fan experiences.
Official U.S. Soccer Watch Party at the San Jose Earthquakes Celebration of Soccer
U.S. Soccer will join in the action as they partner with the Bay Area Host Committee and the San José Sports Authority at the San Jose Earthquakes Celebration of Soccer in San Pedro Square Market in San José.The watch party location has already welcomed more than 350,000 total fans since the start of the World Cup and up to 25,000 for the USA games. In anticipation of an even larger turnout, a fourth giant screen spanning 450 square feet will be added for additional viewing of Wednesday’s event. Soccer Forward Supporting Communities
On Tuesday, June 30, U.S. Soccer's “Soccer Forward Foundation,” in partnership with the Bay Area Host Committee and a coalition of local schools, clubs and community organizations, will host a Coaching for Impact workshop and youth soccer clinic at the newly inaugurated Sports for All Hub shared by LIFE Academy and United for Success Academy in Oakland. The event will bring together nearly 30 coaches, community leaders and representatives from nearly 15 local organizations, along with more than 200 youth, to explore how soccer can be used as a tool for positive youth development both on and off the field.
Taking place ahead of the U.S. Men's National Team's FIFA World Cup Round of 32 match in the Bay Area, the event highlights how U.S. Soccer and Soccer Forward are leveraging the excitement surrounding the tournament to create lasting impact in local communities.
U.S. Soccer Fan Celebration
On the evening of June 30, U.S. Soccer will host a public fan event at Clara's Junction in Santa Clara from 8:00–10:00 p.m. The event will feature music, appearances by U.S. Soccer alumni and opportunities for fans to celebrate together ahead of the team’s Round of 32 matchup. American Outlaws
The American Outlaws, the largest supporter's group for the United States Men's and Women's National Soccer Teams, will host Night Before Parties on June 30 in San Francisco at Underdogs Cantina and in San José at Jack's Bar and 7 Bamboo.
