Ryan Cordero

Staff Accountant

Ryan Cordero currently serves as the Staff Accountant for the Bay Area Host Committee, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing major global sporting and entertainment events to the Bay Area. In this role, he helps manage accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. He works closely with cross-functional teams to support forecasting, ensure accuracy in financial statements, and assist in audit preparation.

A recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Economics and a minor in Computer Science, Ryan brings a detail-oriented, systems-driven mindset to his work. While at LMU, he served as the Budget Specialist for the Athletic Training Department where he built a user-friendly budgeting system allowing staff to more accurately track and forecast spending.

Ryan is currently pursuing his CPA license and is excited to continue growing within the world of accounting and event operations. As a lifelong athlete and former collegiate rugby player, Ryan has always thrived in team environments where collaboration, adaptability, and resilience are essential.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Ryan grew up cheering for the region’s sports teams and understands firsthand how important these moments can be for a community. Now he is proud to help bring exciting, impactful events to the place he calls home.
