Liz Chance

Director, Development

Liz Chance is the Director of Development for the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC), a nonprofit focused on bringing premier sports and entertainment events to the Bay Area in a way that will unite the community and leave a lasting impact. She helps drive fundraising efforts across the organization and foundation, developing and executing strategic plans to secure funding and managing donor relations. Liz will prioritize the development of the BAHC Foundation, while ensuring donor engagement and fundraising goals are met.

Before joining BAHC, Liz served as Director of Development in the Advancement Office at UC Law San Francisco. There she focused on alumni engagement and philanthropy—helping donors connect their interests with meaningful giving opportunities, including student scholarships, fellowships, and programmatic support. She also worked closely and collaborated with the college’s Foundation Board in order to raise additional contributions and support for the school.

Prior to UC Law SF, Liz spent five years in the athletic department at UC Berkeley, where she held roles in revenue generation, annual giving, and donor relations for various athletic programs. In her time there, she successfully achieved each of her program’s annual fundraising goals, and led the impactful fundraising effort to secure the first head coach endowment for a women’s athletic program at Cal.

Liz is a proud alumna of the USC Marshall School of Business where she received a degree in Business Administration, and minor in Sports Media Studies. She also spent one semester studying business at the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain. Liz is a Bay Area native, currently living in the East Bay with her husband, A.J., and their Australian Cattle Dog. When not working or watching sports, she also enjoys exploring new places, cooking and spending time outdoors.
