Ivette Gonzalez is the Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC), a non-profit corporation bringing major, world-class events to the San Francisco Bay Area with a mission to unite the region through sport by building pride, connecting communities, and re-energizing the Bay.
Before joining the BAHC, Ivette built an impressive career at Edelman, where she dedicated seven years to a variety of administrative and operational roles across multiple markets, including Portland, New York, and San Francisco. Her responsibilities evolved significantly during her tenure, beginning as an office manager and advancing through positions such as human resources coordinator, administrative manager, and ultimately, executive assistant. In her most recent role, she provided comprehensive support to up to seven executives, managing both administrative duties and operational tasks essential to their teams' success.
Before her tenure at Edelman, Ivette spent nine years with the NBA's Sacramento Kings and Monarchs, where she excelled in managing the community relations function. Her role involved close collaboration with basketball operations, corporate sponsorships, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of community efforts with broader organizational goals. Ivette was instrumental in planning and executing community events and sponsorship activations, creating meaningful connections between the teams and the local community. She managed all aspects of player appearances and community impact programs, ensuring that the players' engagements were both impactful and aligned with the team's brand and values. Additionally, Ivette oversaw the community ticket program, coordinating the distribution of tickets to deserving community groups and ensuring the program's successful implementation as a key component of the teams' outreach initiatives.
A native of Sacramento, California, Ivette pursued her higher education at Loyola Marymount University, earning a degree in Public Relations and Spanish. She currently resides in San Francisco with her partner, Mitch, and their 11-year-old Yorkie, Chewie.
