Hilary Ash
Chief Strategy Officer
Hilary Ash serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC), a 501c6 non-profit corporation focused on bringing world-class sport and entertainment events to the Bay Area that drive economic impact, community engagement, civic pride, and global recognition. Such events include the 2025 NBA All Star Game, 2026 Super Bowl LX, and six matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
As Chief Strategy Officer, Hilary is responsible for the long-term business strategy of the host committee and the BAHC Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit foundation established to harness the power of these major sporting events and ensure a lasting community impact. In this role, she oversees strategic planning, program management, impact initiatives, and fundraising strategy. Hilary is a proven strategist with nearly 15 years of experience in major event delivery, operational planning, financial analysis, and client services.
Prior to joining BAHC, Hilary served as the Vice President of Games Delivery & Venue Infrastructure at LA28, the organizing committees for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hilary oversaw the venue infrastructure, energy and broadcast functions and led strategic program management for over $1B of venue infrastructure. Working collaboratively with all sport and delivery functions, Hilary was responsible for the development of the venue masterplan as well as venue design, costing and overlay. In prior roles at LA28, Hilary led strategic projects for the executive leadership team across long-term business planning efforts, budget development and operational integration. Hilary’s time at LA28 spanned nearly a decade, first joining the organization in October 2015.
Previously, Hilary worked at the Boston Consulting Group, a leading global management consulting firm. Over four years, Hilary worked for clients in the sports, entertainment, and consumer product industries and supported projects spanning mergers & acquisitions, customer segmentation, and brand positioning. Prior to BCG, Hilary worked for ESPN X Games, ESPN Customer Marketing & Sales, and the Rose Bowl Game.
In 2019, Hilary was named to Sports Business Journal’s “New Voices Under 30.”
Hilary received a business degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a 4-year member of the Division 1 Women’s Varsity Volleyball team and 2-time Ivy league Champion. Outside the office, Hilary loves watching college football, practicing yoga, binging TV dramas, and traveling internationally. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Scott, and their dog, Riggins.
