Born and raised in Chinatown, Los Angeles, So grew up playing basketball at her local park, surrounded by friends, neighbors, and community members that taught her how to celebrate her culture, honor her roots, and set a proper off-ball screen. A firm believer in the power of sports to move the world, So most recently served the Golden State organization as the Manager of Community and Public Relations for the Santa Cruz Warriors, where she led social responsibility efforts and programs throughout the Central Coast and developed media and PR strategies to bolster the organization's influence within Santa Cruz County and the NBA G League.
Prior to the Warriors, So kicked off her career with Angel City Football Club, where she oversaw community outreach efforts by leading the Street Team in engaging with Angelenos at local events and community hubs before switching gears to community impact and working to deepen the club's presence in Los Angeles by connecting corporate sponsors with local nonprofits to launch authentic impact programs that give back to communities across the city.
So graduated from Seattle University with a Master of Business Administration in Sport and Entertainment Management and served as the Graduate Assistant of Competitive Sports within University Recreation. Prior to her time in Seattle, So attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she worked to build community and execute events within the Department of Recreation and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Global and International Studies. Outside of work, So likes to spend time with her German Shepherd, bask in the sun in Santa Cruz, and invest her time and wellbeing into her NBA and WNBA teams.
