Limited-edition hat capsule collection celebrates athletes, community, and Bay Area identity across the two major global events
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – December 11, 2025 – The Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) announced today a strategic partnership with LACES, the emerging leader in athlete-driven apparel, unveiling a limited-edition hat collaboration that celebrates the intersection of sports, community, and innovation while supporting the next generation of athletes.
The BAHC x LACES capsule features three limited-edition designs, inspired by specific moments in the Bay Area’s unprecedented year of global events. The collection tells a unified story across the global events coming to the Bay Area in 2026 and the Bay Area Host Committee’s legacy initiatives—reflecting the region’s identity as innovative, diverse, athlete-powered, and community-centered.
A portion of proceeds from the collaboration will support the LACES Athlete Fund, which provides direct financial support to college athletes partnering with LACES, reinforcing the partnership's commitment to athlete development and community investment.
"This collaboration represents everything LACES stands for—empowering athletes and celebrating the communities that shape them," said Jeff Chu, Founder CEO of LACES. "The Bay Area sits at the intersection of world-class sports and world-changing innovation. Partnering with the BAHC allows us to honor this moment, create meaningful products, and give back to the next generation of athletes who define the future of sport."
"The LACES partnership exemplifies the BAHC's commitment to creating legacy-building collaborations that benefit our community," said Patty Hubbard, CMO of the Bay Area Host Committee. "By aligning with an organization so dedicated to athlete success and community impact, we're creating more than merchandise—we're building a movement. Every purchase directly supports college athletes and strengthens the sports ecosystem in the Bay Area."
Each hat in the capsule is thoughtfully crafted:
Event-inspired design: Colors, motifs, and details reflect the energy and identity of each global sporting moment hosted in the Bay.
Athlete-driven ethos: LACES brings forward its athlete-centric approach, amplifying both the region and its athletes.
Community purpose: With every purchase supporting the LACES Athlete Fund, the collection directly benefits college athletes across the Bay Area.
