PNC Bank Joins as a Bay Area Host Committee Partner to Champion Financial Empowerment, Drive Community Impact
PNC Bank joins Bay Area Host Committee’s Alliance Partner program as essential contributors to building a lasting legacy.
Mountain View, CA (Dec. 17, 2024) - The Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) and PNC Bank, one of the largest diversified financial services institutions in the United States, are teaming up to unite the region through sports as it prepares to host NBA All-Star 2025, Super Bowl LX and the 2026 World Cup.
“I have been humbled by the support PNC Bank continues to give our region, particularly as it relates to the Bay Area’s women’s financial empowerment, athletes and leaders,” said Zaileen Janmohamed, BAHC CEO. “As we think about the eyes that will be on the Bay over the next 18 months, having like-minded partners like PNC Bank to help us achieve great things together and positively impact our shared community through this commitment is incredibly powerful.”
Now partnering with BAHC, the two organizations will continue to prioritize the amplification of women’s voices, resources, and representation across the organization and within the community programs PNC Bank supports.
PNC Bank’s Regional President for Northern California Megan Schoettmer has been named to the BAHC advisory board as part of the partnership. As a lifelong Bay Area resident who received her master’s degree from Santa Clara University, Schoettmer oversees PNC Bank’s business development, client relationships and philanthropic activities across Northern California.
“PNC is honored to join in BAHC’s vision of uniting a dynamic region through a shared passion for supporting the communities we serve, including impactful events that drive critical economic development across the Bay area,” said Schoettmer. “This partnership strengthens our commitment to championing individuals and businesses through financial empowerment and opportunity.”
As part of the collaboration, PNC Bank will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Women’s Leadership Legacy Awards, a joint initiative between PNC Bank and the BAHC that will annually recognize and honor outstanding women leaders making an impact in the Bay Area through sports, business and community involvement.
PNC Bank will also be a supporting partner of the BAHC Speaker Series, which will include discussions on topics such as women’s leadership, financial empowerment, and driving community impact.
Additional details on the BAHC Women’s Empowerment speaker series and Women’s Leadership Legacy awards developed as part of the partnership will be available soon.
