Bay Area Host Committee and EA SPORTS Partner to Drive Innovation, Community and Fan Culture Through Iconic Global Sports Events Coming to the Bay Area

Mountain View, CA (September 5, 2024) - The Bay Area Host Committee and EA SPORTS have joined forces in a multi-year, founding-level partnership to bring unprecedented innovation, community building, and cultural celebration to fans at the Bay Area’s upcoming NBA All-Star 2025, Super Bowl LX, and the 2026 World Cup.

“We are thrilled to join forces with EA SPORTS, a powerhouse of innovation, tech, and interactive entertainment, as the Bay Area becomes the epicenter of sport culture over an unparalleled 18-month period,” said Zaileen Janmohamed, CEO, Bay Area Host Committee. “It’s critical that we have the support of organizations like EA SPORTS that deeply understand the importance of community and live in fan culture, so we can work together to build excitement surrounding these global sport moments.”

The two Bay Area-based organizations are collaborating to create opportunities for sports and technology-based programs that will engage and strengthen local communities. EA SPORTS and BAHC will partner to bring fans together ahead of the events, including experiential activities, community-building initiatives and programming for Bay Area youth, fans, and residents.

“With three of the world’s largest sports events taking place in our own backyard, we have an incredible opportunity to showcase the power sport has to bring communities together,” said Andrea Hopelain, GM and SVP of Publishing at EA SPORTS. “EA SPORTS sits at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and culture, so combining forces with the Bay Area Host Committee is the perfect opportunity to maximize these moments for fans in the Bay Area and far beyond.”

Over the coming months, EA SPORTS and the BAHC will share more details about their plans to activate unique entertainment experiences that will bring together brands, partners, cultural leaders, athletes, celebrities and fans – all timed around the major global sports events happening in the region.
