Vice President, Event Operations

Will Hunter is a global operations executive with over 20 years experience working with some of the world’s most iconic sports brands (NFL, NBA, NCAA, Dallas Cowboys, Pac-12 Conference) building processes, strategies and teams through exceptional leadership, innovation and meticulous attention to detail. His work includes some of the most prestigious events the world has to offer: Super Bowl (four times), NFL Draft (five times), NCAA Final Four (six times), NBA All-Star Game (the largest in NBA history) and international assignments in Europe and China.

Will Hunter currently serves as Vice President, Event Operations of the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC), a non-profit corporation bringing major, world-class events to the San Francisco Bay Area, including the NBA All Star Game in 2025, the Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup in 2026. As Vice President, Event Operations, Hunter will lead the event operations team and strive to deliver an exceptional and operationally efficient event experience by fulfilling BAHC’s contractual obligations through strategic partnerships with key stakeholders like venue partners, law enforcement, city officials, airport staff and hotels.

Before joining the BAHC, Will served as Vice President, Operations for the Pac-12 Conference where he oversaw the development and operation of Pac-12 events including the Football Championship Game, Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments and the annual Pac-12 China Game in Shanghai, China.

In his previous role with the Dallas Cowboys, Hunter spearheaded the opening of the AT&T Stadium as the sole project manager and managed more than 100 events with a total audience of more than 2 million guests. Prior to his time with the Dallas Cowboys, Hunter spent six years at National Football League office in several roles including:  NFL Europe, managing team operations and transportation logistics for the Scottish Claymores and World Bowl XI, in the Player Personnel Department managing player transactions and salary cap inquiries and was also chosen to be a part of the inaugural class of the highly coveted NFL Junior Rotational Program.

Hunter earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wofford College where he also was captain of the football team. A self-proclaimed BBQ and 90’s hip-hop enthusiast, Hunter lives in the Bay Area with his wife Tiffany and daughter Avery.
